Allied Advisers is pleased to release its latest report “Navigating M&A in a Volatile Market”. We are seeing recovery despite the headwinds – we had 4 clients exit in Q1 2025 and advised on 8 transactions in the last 10 months. We currently have several clients who currently have significant interest from strategic and PE firms.
This report covers some of the best practices which founders, management and investors of both early and late stages can develop in their tool kit to get a successful outcome. While the market has been challenging, we have seen a lot of bright spots, including the largest VC backed exit of Wiz to Alphabet in 2025. In our coverage universe of technology middle-market, we are seeing lightly funded companies with sustainable revenue and cash flow growth generating the most interest. In addition, there is continued appetite for companies at the cutting edge of technology to find good homes with strategics specially in sectors like AI, cybersecurity and Vertical SaaS. We are also seeing PE and strategic backed by PE being active participants in our processes; for sellers targeting these buyers, it is important to not only to have a clear narrative but also get the numbers behind the story in good order. For sellers targeting strategics buyers, we advise them to build strong, strategic relationships and partnerships ahead of a formal sale process to get the highest value.
This report also covers our views on the impact of tariffs, decline of IPOs, rise of PE activity and VC / PE’s DPI challenges, and what all this means for the M&A markets going forward.
Finally, sellers are strongly advised to run a sale process as there is variance in the value offered by buyers and a market driven price discovery is the best way to achieve optimal value.
